Tiktok Ramen
by Max

For most people instant ramen is “boil, slurp, survive”… This is the outdoor version of the once gone viral TikTok ramen — garlicky, spicy, and proof that you can turn trail food into something wildly better than any package praises.
Preparation
- Bring water to boil.
- Boil the noodles. Drain once slightly before ready. Save the water(!)
- Use part of the water (maybe spiced with some more chilli and or a bit of the ramen flavor package) to soak the soy mince.
- Preparation changes slightly depending on the grain. Usually covering it with water in a Container with a cozy is enough and only takes longer for larger sized soya bites.
- Heat some oil and shortly fry garlic (, veggies) and chili flakes.
- Add sugar (1 teespoon) and soy sauce (1 tablespoon) and stir until the sugar is melted.
- Add noodles (and soy) and coat them with the sauce.
- (Lightly beat the egg, push noodles aside and shortly fry the egg).
- (Top with seeds/nuts and spring onion).
Notes
- Cook noodles slightly less than instructed (e.g. 2.5 instead of 3 min) so that they keep a good texture during the frying.
- Inspired by ramen recipe that went viral on TikTok we created a outdoor version. We highly recommend using seeds/nuts, veggies, a egg and soy mince to increase the nutritional value of this dish.
…and don’t forget to squeeze your lemon.
