Overnight Oats

Overnight Oats

Our go-to breakfast are Overnight Oats. It’s easy to prepare, there’s a ton of (local and seasonal) variations, it’s filling and nutritious. Prepared the night before you’ll have one less task to do in the morning, except you are up to foraging some fruits around your campsite to pimp your breakfast to a whole new level.

  1. Mix oats with seeds.
  2. Cover the mix with cold water and let it soak (preferably overnight).
  3. When you’re ready for breakfast, add raisins, at least one fruit, maybe some nuts or stir in some PB and any other ingredient that sound tasty to you (see Optional Ingredients).
  • Avoid instant oats and use whole / rolled / traditional ones instead
  • You can add powdered milk in the night or in the morning - doesn’t matter.
  • Often we premix oats and seeds right when we buy them. Makes preparing breakfast in the night even easier 🦥
  • Preparing it in our Containers allows us to store them without spilling and attracting insects. And we can take it with us to find a sunny breakfast spot.
  • If you forgot to prepare it beforehand or you prefer a warm breakfast, you can as easily pour the oats with hot water or let them simmer for a short while.

…and don’t forget to squeeze your lemon.
